Summary: This article covers the customer-level settings available for the users of Manage Receivables to modify.

This article contains:

Customer Profile

Users can access a customer-side panel menu by clicking on a customer's name from any of the tabs in the Manage Receivables solution. This is called the Customer Profile and it's where you can make customer-level settings updates that can deviate from some global settings.

It consists of:

  • Summary
  • Contacts
  • Payments
  • History
  • Notes

Summary

The Summary tab consists of your general customer information such as their address, phone number, email, website, etc.

This also consists of customer-level hierarchy preferences that can be set in the event that the entity responsible for payment is not necessarily the buyer. The options here are:

  • Buyer
  • Immediate Parent
  • Top-level Parent

See this article for more information.

Users can also set a reminder workflow for the customer and can choose to toggle the monthly statement on or off.

Contacts

The Contacts tab is where users can:

  • View existing contacts and their contact roles/communication status
  • Create new contacts (that will not sync over to the GL)

For more information on contacts check this article.

Payments

The Payments tab is where the user can view the payment terms offered to the customer and the payment currency.

You can also modify online payment options for CentimePay on the customer-level.

  • Disable Online Payments: In the event that this customer will not be paying through Centime, you may wish to disable online payments for them.
  • Customer portal: allows your customers to pay via a secure online portal where they can save payment information and view all their invoices (paid and unpaid)
  • Payment links: Unique one-off links that allow your customers to pay without logging in. Please note that Early-pay discounts, ACH discounts, credit application, and surcharge passing are not available with this setting.

The Payments tab is also where you can set specific customer-level preferences for credit card and ACH payment preferences.

History

Under the History tab of the profile, users can view the history of all the actions or settings set against the customer profile.

Notes

The notes tab is where users can jot down customer-specific account notes for easy communication between AR users.
