Introduction:

In this release, Centime has introduced a key feature for the clients of its Manage Receivables solution to further facilitate a smoother collections process.

Feature 1 - Hierarchy preferences in Manage Receivables 

Details:

To accommodate clients with multi-level distribution structures of their collections process, Centime has introduced the hierarchy preferences feature. Users can now set their hierarchy preferences to bill the correct entity responsible for payment of goods purchased or services availed.

a. Users can now set their Hierarchy preference either globally (applicable to all customers) from the Receivables settings menu or locally (per customer) from the Customer side panel menu.

b.Users can choose from three entity levels: Buyer, Immediate Parent, and Top-level Parent.

• A buyer is the entity that purchased the goods
• A top-level parent is the highest-level parent in the overall distribution hierarchy.
• An immediate parent is the purchasing entity's immediate parent.

c. When the 'Bill to' preference is set to: 

• Buyer then each entity is responsible for the payment of their bills
• Immediate parent then each entity's immediate parent is responsible for bill payment
• Top parent then the topmost level parent entity will be responsible for the payment of the bills of all its children entities. 

d. When preferences are set on global level, they impact all customers. However, preferences defined at local (customer level), if defined, takes precedence.

e. When the entity responsible for payment is set as Immediate parent or Top-level parent, communication contacts and online payment settings for the purchasing customer will be overridden and Centime will defer to the correct parent's settings.
